Layout and book design
Custom illustration (human-created, AI-assisted, or mixed workflows)
Digital deliverables (e.g., PDF files)
Print ordering options fulfilled by us or a third-party printer
Optional add-ons such as revisions, extra pages, or rush services
Accounts, Communication, and Consent
If you provide your email or phone number, you consent to receive communications about:

Required approvals (story, design, or print proof)
Billing, receipts, and project updates
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time. Transactional communications related to your order are part of the service.
Custom Work and Client Responsibilities
Because our work is custom, your responsiveness and accuracy matter.
Providing Accurate Materials:
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the materials you provide, including names, dates, places, photos, letters, journals, and other references.
Approvals:
We may require approvals at major stages such as story approval, design/layout approval, and final print proof approval. Once you approve a stage, changes after that point may be treated as revisions and billed accordingly.
Timelines:
Project timelines depend on your response time, revision cycles, and production constraints. Delays in feedback or approvals may delay delivery.
Pricing, Payments, and Taxes
Prices:
All prices are listed in [USD] unless stated otherwise. Prices may change at any time but will not affect orders already paid.
Payment Terms:
Payment may be required in full upfront or as a deposit with the remaining balance due before delivery or print. If payment fails or is disputed, we may pause work and withhold deliverables until resolved.
Sales Tax / VAT:
You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or import fees unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Revisions and Scope
Each package includes a defined number of revisions.
Minor revisions include small text edits, typo fixes, and small layout adjustments.
Major revisions include rewriting sections, changing approved story structure, replacing multiple images, or restructuring pages.
Work beyond the included scope will be billed at our current rate or quoted as a flat fee before proceeding.
Digital Deliverables
Digital products may be delivered via email, download link, or client portal.
You are responsible for downloading and storing your files and backing up final deliverables. We may retain project files for a limited time but cannot guarantee indefinite storage.
Printed Books, Shipping, and Delivery
Printed books may be fulfilled by us or a third-party printing partner.
Color variations between screen and print may occur. Minor variations in trim or paper texture are normal in printing.
Shipping times are estimates and not guarantees. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, or other events outside our control.
If a printed book arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 30 days of delivery with photos so we can resolve the issue.
Refund Policy
Because our services and products are custom-made, refunds are limited.
Work already completed is non-refundable. If you cancel after work has begun, you may be billed for work completed up to the cancellation date.
Delivered digital files are generally non-refundable due to the nature of digital goods.
Print costs are non-refundable once submitted to production unless the product is defective or incorrect due to our error.
Intellectual Property and Licensing
Unless your agreement states otherwise, we retain ownership of concepts, drafts, templates, design systems, illustration styles, and working files.
You retain ownership of the materials you provide, including photos and family stories, and grant us a limited license to use them solely to create your project.
Upon full payment, you receive a personal-use license to read, share, and gift the finished book to family members. You may not sell the book, upload the full PDF publicly, remove copyright notices, or create derivative products for resale without written permission.
AI-Assisted Creation Disclosure
Some projects may use AI-assisted tools as part of the creative workflow. All outputs are directed, curated, and finalized by us.
You remain responsible for verifying the factual accuracy of names, dates, and events in the final approved version.
Portfolio Use
Unless you opt out in writing, you grant us permission to display portions of the finished work, including covers or spreads, for portfolio and marketing purposes.
You may opt out by contacting us in writing.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
Submit content you do not have rights to use
Upload illegal, harmful, or abusive content
Impersonate others or falsify identity
Reverse engineer or misuse the site
Attempt to disrupt site functionality or security
We may refuse service or terminate access if misuse occurs.
Disclaimers
Our books are storytelling products and do not provide legal, medical, or professional advice.
We do not guarantee emotional outcomes, publishing success, or perfect historical accuracy. The website and services are provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Our total liability for any claim related to your order is limited to the amount you paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify us from claims or damages arising from content you provide that infringes rights, misuse of deliverables, or violation of these Terms.
Privacy

Termination

Termination does not remove your obligation to pay for work already completed.
